Spring in Val del Biois, the magic blooming

Also in the dialect names of seasons spring has a female connotation: “ansuda”, the time of awakening.

A slow awakening. March and April are the times for the latest skiing in the Dolomites under the sun of spring in the Ski area San Pellegrino, but as the snow melts, the spring blooms and there is a real explosion of colours.
The bright green of meadows, the dazzling white of the mountain tops and the clear blue of the sky appear, like the colours of the Ladin flag.
The sunny days invite to the first excursions in the valley.

An amazing experience is the blooming of crocus in Valfreda and Val Gares, little white and violet flowers sprouting among the snowdrops.

Also the Piana di Falcade turns into a colorful palette where the protagonists are the orange lillies and the yellow trollius.
In spring the fresh air and the warm sun heat up the face and the soul longing for a summer which smells of flowers.
